Lesson Plan:

Using Destiny

1. Show how to open Destiny from the school web page.

2. Type in a misspelled word "elefant" and show how it will ask for the correct spelling.

3. Type in elephant and search by keyword, title, author and subject.

4. Show how to write down the title, author and call number on a piece of paper, then look for the book on the shelf.

5. Show how to use the "bread crumbs" to get back to where you started.

6. Show how to use the visual search.

7. Show how to look for books at other libraries and explain ILL.

    Assessment: Students will be visually assessed as they use Destiny to locate various materials.
